A little bit about me. I've been a boudoir photographer for nearly 17 years now, and I am in love with helping women learn to love their bodies. I also make a point to be photographed on a regular basis, so I remember the nerves and excitement (and glow) that comes with a boudoir shoot. Evidence to your right. ➡️
People always ask me “how did you get into this?” as if being a boudoir photographer isn’t a totally normal occupation.
After spending 15 years in finance, I was a new mom wanting a more flexible career so I could spend more time with my babies.
I always loved photography and decided this would be a great option. I started building my business doing the usual genres. Weddings, babies and families.
You know that part in Star Wars where Obi Wan says “these aren’t the droids you are looking for?” Well, that’s what the universe said to me. But it was about those types of photography.
Every single wedding (with one exception), there was screaming, crying or worse.During one particularly spirited family session, the parents couldn’t convince their son to put his tongue back in his mouth, and then asked me if I could “just photoshop that.”
I DO still sometimes miss newborns. They are cuddly and sweet and remind me of my days as as young mama. BUT . . .
Boudoir photography was gaining popularity and I thought “you know what? This looks fun.” I got a room at the Iron Horse Hotel, a makeup artist and a hair stylist and somehow convinced five women to try this boudoir thing out with me. I fell in love instantly. But not for the reason I expected.
I expected to love that I could purposefully pose, light and create beautiful shots without chasing a toddler.
I expected to love the glamour of it all. The makeup. The beautiful wardrobe.
What I didn’t anticipate was the instant confidence it gave every single woman.
One had just broken off an engagement. One had just had a baby a few months before. One was struggling with body image. After a peek at the back of the camera, their eyes lit up and they said OH MY GOSH, IS THAT ME?!”
I was instantly addicted. The POWER that this art form holds - to empower us to disregard years of programming telling us we need to fit a particular mold - is intoxicating. For me, life changing.
I decided boudoir was all I wanted to do and I never looked back. To this day, my favorite part of every single photo shoot is the second I can see the shift in my client from apprehensive to completely empowered. I live for it. I have dedicated my entire boudoir career to helping everyone experience this shift-all bodies, all shapes, all sizes, all ages, all genders. We are all uniquely beautiful and it is my life’s purpose to capture that unique beauty.
I'd love to show you the beauty I see in you. Because you're worth it. ❤️

"From the moment I entered the studio, it was welcoming and comfortable. Her hair and make up team were amazing and equally as comfortable to be around. I am still a little shocked on how comfortable I was in the studio. The whole day was an amazing experience."
